I used to tell the kids not to say “hate.” It is such a harsh word and not needed in any situation. So, to keep to my word, I will use another word. I “despise” painting. I love the finished look of freshly painted, clean walls but the actual painting is what I dread. So for me to have made the decision to paint my bedroom, hallway, living room, dining room, kitchen and laundry room I must be desperate for the “clean look.” I haven’t even got over painting the outside of the house from last year but when I get a bee in my bonnet I have to follow through. A few other words have to come to mind. Detest. Dislike, Loathe. Abhor. Time to get ‘er done.
