All mothers experience in their minds “the call” or “the knock” when we know something just isn’t right and dreaded news is to follow. I experienced that today. During church Kelcy texted me and said her water broke and she would be having the baby. Normally, I would have had a squeal of delight but when you are twenty-four weeks and four days you panic. We left church early and went in to Anchorage. They got her calmed down and contractions were slowing so hopefully we can give baby Gwennie one more day.
